Return to the Spring 2005 edition of Food, Fun, Fitness, Focus

Food

If you're working in the garden, try your hand at raising vegetables. Visit your local garden center during their off hours so they'll have more time to answer your questions. Ask them which vegetables are easiest to grow in your zone.

I couldn't make a side dish from last year's harvest but I had a lot of fun trying to make a go of it and hopefully I'll remember to apply all I've learned to this year's crop. Who knows, I just might end up with enough green beans to make a salad this year.

Whether you're gardening or not this season, see how many times a week you can work in spring's glorious harvest of fresh fruits and vegetables. Asparagus, morel mushrooms, rhubarb, strawberries and peas are plentiful this time of year.
